Them’s some sexy snap-on serifs! The numerals are really good, but maybe the 4 and 7 would benefit from the new bricks on their diagonals?

Thanks, Williaum. Not a moment too soon with the new bricks. I seem pathologically unwilling to forego the diagonals, so this is a welcome advance.

I'd like to go and fix all of the dodgy decisions I've made re. diagonals, but I'm a bit daunted by it. Put the nosebag on and munch on one font at a time...

Wow. Now those numerals look really, really good! Excellent, the combination of new diagonals and round shoulders creates a very cool graphic script effect.

I hate to be greedy, but I will say this anyway. Wouldn't it be wonderful if Rob also added all the possible bricks with two opposite corners occupied by the new slim pie slice guys? And their inverses where two slices mate in the center of the brick to create a one brick thin diagonal? I mean, it's only like 8 more bricks I'm asking for, here ; }

I feel like an ungrateful wretch myself, wanting more. F'rinstance, those half-bricks, while vital, can create irksome problems. (If you're a sucker for punishment, like me.)

I'm filled with admiration for the sheer thinking behind the new ones, however. An elegant solution to a tricky problem. Now if there were just a few more...

We've added the extra permutations. I'm looking forward to seeing what people build with them.

Rob, thank you! You saw my eight bricks and raised me another eight. The pot just keeps growing bigger, as they say. And just what tasty fontstructions will the sharp chefs around here whip up in the weeks to come?

The brick palette itself is beginning to resemble a work of art (always has, but, seriously).

Now, I'm all for the graphic beauty of fontstruct’s UI (as I seem to be looking at it all the time :) ), and there are surely many logical reasons for expanding the palette in discrete stages, but would it not be a whole lot simpler (for everyone except you, the kind programer) to just allow us to stack multiple bricks per cell?

Oh, all right, I will stop hijacking this comment thread with my silly requests. Really, I am grateful for your work growing these here edges.

Now, back to the mutant brick lab…
