Doing this font made me wish for a new block. Either the triangle on the left, plus the rotated versions. Or, the block on the right plus the rotations.

If we at least had the triangle on the right, we could make the other using brickstacking.

Yes, I've often wished for the very same thing.. Now, about that mythical third angle... heh heh.

If you used the 2x2 filter, you can produce the shapes you want - with rotations and all without brick stacking.

My problem is, I didn't realize I need those pieces until I was way too far along to consider starting over at 2 x 2. :)
