So far this has stayed fairly faithful to the concept of creating each glyph within a square (obviously not in the case of characters such as i, l or l). However, this attempt at conformity does leave M, W, m, w looking rather narrow and results in a set that I suspect is a bit aesthetcally challenged.

Should I forsake the square and go for a more balanced look with those troublesome glyphs>

This is so classic and yet so fresh.
Beautiful work, P2pnut.
On behalf of your troublesome glyphs: I would leave the M and W as they are, but change the w and m width to match the UC´s, since you don´t really have to force them into monospace and considering other glyphs variable width like the i or f.
But you still get a tenner from me.

w and m changed ... and, while I was at it, a compromise W + 1/2 square width.

The new m, w, and W are all very good and fit in much better. Good job.

This is very elegant. :-)

Which is why I feel as though I should offer my ¢0.02. While raising the power of each letter to 2 is admirable, but because you also sometimes discount it for certain glyphs, in the interest of the paying greater dividends to the shareholders, perhaps you could consider widening the M as well too. (I'll bet you couldn't guess that I just got up from doing a Finance assignment, could you? ;)

@thal: Finance,Economics, Budgets, Statistics ... all come from the Devil's backside as far as I am concerned. You have my every sympathy.

The M was one that I was uncertain about and you have helped me make my mind up. Now widened by 1/4 square (1/2 was just too much).

A few alterations - and a couple of additions. I had completely missed several glyphs!

The m, n, p and r have had their 'tails' docked so that they match the rest ... not sure what you call these small ascenders and descenders.
