I can understand about the hours & hours to do thing. I've got two Black Letter fontstructs waiting to be completed. The upper case is soooo tricky to get something contemporary, yet still retaining the old style.

i guess commercial font designers should finally start to be scared by fontstruct. fonts like this one are gonna make them lose quite a few clients.

nur das kleine w juckt mich mit seiner assymetrie irgendwie ein klein wenig im auge... weiss aber nicht ob mich die symmetrische version nicht auch jucken tät... das problem könnt also auch am auge liegen.;)

no f***ing way this isn't a top pick yet. I got really disappointed by the recent dedication of the staff. it's like most of the recent really awesome fonts which should have been top picks were overlooked. also the new top pick is kinda boring compared to fonts like this beauty. i'd like to know if there's a way to become a staff member. i check the site like every day but it just isn't as much fun since the top picks just seem to be random because the staff seems to only check the last 2 pages of new fontstructions though they only visit the site twice a month or something. :(

About this beauty: Kix, get into real fonts, I know I propably repeat myself, but your talent is overwhelming. There's no way to tell what you'd be able to do with real path constructed fonts. ;)

Ditto what saber said. I can hardly believe you've even shared this one, kix. So first, thanks for sharing. I would have saved this fontstruction for a professional release. Shortly after you shared this, I was checking out other retail blackletter fonts. My main thought was that Underwörld should be among them. It reveals a sophisticated maturity in your work. It's brilliant.

@saberrider you're completely right. there has been a lapse in top picking recently. this is a fantastic example of that! we'll catch up as soon as we can. the great news is, we've got a new staff member on board who will work on the top picks as well, as many other parts of FontStruct. he's just started so please be patient.

There is no doubt this is a landmark FontStruction. The missing Top Pick badge is as much my fault as anyone’s as I haven’t been able to dedicate myself to Gallery maintenance over the last couple of weeks.

Well done. This is one of the best fonts I have seen, and have seen many, trust me. I connot wait until this font is expanded a bit more (i.e. the characters @#$%^&*() etc). I hope you are proud of your work, because we all are. :)

I'm quite new to FontStruct and am still dabbling my toes in the 'shallow end'. Then I saw this font and realised that there is a whole ocean of possibility.

You have created a font that can stand proud against any ... whatever the design medium.

It's beautiful - and an inspiration to us newbies.

@kix: I suspect DarkAge has come up against the fact that downloaded fonts tend to look rather small in conventional text point sizes (12pt in this case, by the sound of it).

@DarkAge: You will just have to use a greater point size to achieve the effect of 'normal' 12pt - experiment with different sizes 'till you get the right look.
