It has some Art-Nouveau influences, featuring contrasting bowl sizes, and sharp diagonal lines juxtaposed against flowing curves. When I began working on it in FontStruct however, I wasn't able to render its sinuous lines as I had first imagined. It evolved, becoming squared and angular, taking on a more Gothic feel; although, this suits its name. The title comes from "Ribbons of Baroque Ecstasy" is the name of a collection of works by English architect Neil Spiller, who advocates a return towards Gothicism, and away from bland Modernism and schizophrenic Post-Modernism.Initially%2C%20I%20envisioned%20this%20font%20as%20an%20elegant%20serifed%20font%2C%20based%20on%20my%20handwriting%20%28which%20is%20not%20to%20say%20it%20is%20itself%20elegant%20in%20any%20way%29.%20It%20has%20some%20Art-Nouveau%20influences%2C%20featuring%20contrasting%20bowl%20sizes%2C%20and%20sharp%20diagonal%20lines%20juxtaposed%20against%20flowing%20curves.%20When%20I%20began%20working%20on%20it%20in%20FontStruct%20however%2C%20I%20wasn%27t%20able%20to%20render%20its%20sinuous%20lines%20as%20I%20had%20first%20imagined.%20It%20evolved%2C%20becoming%20squared%20and%20angular%2C%20taking%20on%20a%20more%20Gothic%20feel%3B%20although%2C%20this%20suits%20its%20name.%20The%20title%20comes%20from%20%22Ribbons%20of%20Baroque%20Ecstasy%22%20is%20the%20name%20of%20a%20collection%20of%20works%20by%20English%20architect%20Neil%20Spiller%2C%20who%20advocates%20a%20return%20towards%20Gothicism%2C%20and%20away%20from%20bland%20Modernism%20and%20schizophrenic%20Post-Modernism.
