First I added one brick to the x-height; second I added little connecting, er, nubs for a very tightly spaced continuous script. From there, I was basically done, but then had very little restraint and took it to this point, which is now sort of a mishmash of styles (let’s just go ahead and rule out all caps settings right here and now ;) I am hoping one of y’all fontstructors will chime in with the next version that really knits the job up all nice like! To use this font, you simply need to layer the uppercase alphabet on top of (or underneath) the lowercase alphabet (see below for a sample). Obviously, it doesn't look like much in the Fontstruct preview. The inspiration for this typeface came about when I was putting together this Flickr gallery of modular multi-colored lettering. The first 25 downloads are all mine. Unconventionally fontstructed while adhering to the impositions of the law of the brick. What do I mean? Just try recreating the letter A. Same in Illustrator. Curious, I opened it in FontLab Studio. Turns out, the characters that have a half-wide brick left of the left edge in FontStruct are another half-brick-width over in the TrueType file.
