This is a pattern Fontstruction based entirely on the Anni Albers textile pattern of the same name. "Anni Albers began a three decades long collaboration with the internationally recognized design company Knoll in 1951. During the course of this partnership, Knoll released five of Anni's designs: Track, Rail, Lattice, Jhet and Eclat. Originally designed in 1974 as an upholstery pattern, Anni Albers' Eclat, was first produced printed on a cotton/ linen ground in various scales and color combinations. Reintroduction into the market as part of Knoll's 60th anniversary archival collection celebration in June 2007, Eclat, renamed Eclat Weave, is now produced as a woven, rather than printed, upholstery." - text taken from The Josef and Anni Albers Foundation website. They have no diagonals, just semi-circles and straight lines. This alphabet is the attempt to extend this construction principle to a complete (well: caps only) alphabet that you could easily cut from metal. And - like any principle that doesn’t come from writing – it doesn’t really work. But was fun making.The%20Tech%20house%20numbers%20were%20designed%20for%20DWR%20and%20made%20out%20of%20stainless%20steel.%20They%20have%20no%20diagonals%2C%20just%20semi-circles%20and%20straight%20lines.%20This%20alphabet%20is%20the%20attempt%20to%20extend%20this%20construction%20principle%20to%20a%20complete%20%28well%3A%20caps%20only%29%20alphabet%20that%20you%20could%20easily%20cut%20from%20metal.%0D%0AAnd%20-%20like%20any%20principle%20that%20doesn%E2%80%99t%20come%20from%20writing%20%E2%80%93%20it%20doesn%E2%80%99t%20really%20work.%20But%20was%20fun%20making.
