Then I just doodled some repeating patterns. Then I saw how I can fill the patterns inside the letters. They fit together pretty easily for vertical letters, but diagonals were really tricky. The end product resembled Hawaiian leis draped over each glyph. Very floral. So there you have it. Flowers. I promised myself I wouldn't release a new completed Fontstruction until I finish the project I'm working on. So this is sort of a compromise. Not as fancy as the Bubble Lab, its just for fun. Anything Halloween related is fine, even if it is just coming up with different facial expressions for the Jack-O-Lantern or Skull. Whoever wants to add anything, just clone away and reserve your letter space(s) in the comments below. The only caveat- this fontstruction is created in the 2:2 upscaled brick size. If that turns out to be too challenging, I still plan to add more to this either way... Other dingbat ideas: ghosts, witch, Frankenstein, Dracula, Haunted House, bats, spiders, Halloween Candy, scary Halloween phrases. BOOO! Looking through the gallery, I still don't see any attempts. Creating a serif font with blocks is very much a square peg for a round hole, but I enjoyed the challenge. I tried to emphasis all the minor details, like angled stress, or the bottom terminal of the lowercase b. I spent a lot of time on this months ago, but after a while, just lost the drive to complete all the characters.
