Miralles was a master of sketching with ink-pens. His case study containing linear drawn sections of a croissante are a instant classic of analog ink-pen art. I then picked out the central line of each horizontal, vertical and diagonal strip, which left me with a very simple, disjointed, linear set of glyphs. Finally I extended each line to get a 3D effect. I think the result has quite a retro futuristic feel (if you know what I mean). Definitely a display typeface. It's a very rough negative linear rendition of the Futura Bold Condensed font that is used as the Watchmen title. A friend of mine let me read his copy of the Watchmen graphic novel. An epic deconstruction of the superhero genre with multi-threaded storylines and deep allegorical character analysis. A masterful work of sequential art and storytelling. This font hardly does it any justice. Hopefully the movie will do that. Ironically, I related to the character Ozymandias. Rendered at 1:2 scale. LC has alternating spacing.
