After checking many of the available versions (specially Pauldhunt's Structurosa) I thought it would be fun to clone Meek's logo and update it with the bricks available now (logo is numbered 96 & this clone is 218867, Structurosa is 7294). I originally liked Meek's x but ended up just using it as the asterisk and the c and s got slimmed down to match the actual FS logo design. g and y came from Structurosa, which also influenced the e, x and k. And from Jenjes232's FSion I took the v. The rest just popped out while figuring out the possibilities. Josef Albers' constructivist typographic experiments are a perfect match for Fontstruct. Other Fontstructors have done great work with Alber's ideas. Most notably, Saberrider's fontsract and Stewf's Leaflet family. Using Josef Albers' Kombinationsschrift alphabet (1928-1931) as my foundation, I've been having a lot of fun remixing and experimenting with his letters. 'Sessions' is the first to get shared. Based on the output of the Radio Shack DMP-200 printer, DMP-200 RS is a sans-serif fixed-width Dot Matrix Printer typeface from the early 1980s. The DMP-200 was used with the TRS-80 Color Computer and other fine Tandy computers. I originally made this an 8×8 font, but upon closer inspection of the finished products under a magnifying lense, it was discovered that the pin-strikes on the horizontal were much, much closer together than the vertical; thus, it was changed to a 16×16 for a better replication. Plus, that allowed me to place dots '1/2-way' between the 'main' gridlines... Most non-alphanumeric and More Latin characters have been created to match the original style.
