The dots are such that the curved shapes and squared-off letters just would not resolve to an equal height no matter what I tried. Then after the mixed x-height that came about in yesterday's la Cross, it occurred to me to just let the letters be as tall as they wanted to be. It seems to work for some odd reason. PUNKT™ features lowercase only, numbers, punctation, some additional characters AND professional kerning! HAUS is a RE-DESIGN and differs in some glyphs from PUNKT™. I completed the set with small caps and small digits and developed text numbers. It uses minimal grid blocks to achieve the desired effect (although at ~2x2 and the slivers and the pinhole dots, there are a surprisingly large number of actual bricks used per glyph than evident at a quick glance, although not a single overlapping brick is used without express purpose). I think this is my favorite of all the ones I've done so far. It is with nervous anticipation that I let it free.
