I created this inspired by influences from Ralph steadman and Jackson pollock using the concept of inconsistansy and randomized mark making with ink. the name is derived from a quote from the book "fear and loathing in las vagas". I designed it by firstly creating the text with a pot of ink and the back side of a biro pen, then from that i drew them by hand onto A4 sheets of graph paper limitating each line to only 4 given angles, then finally transfering that onto fontstruct wich took roughly 30-40mins per letter. A clone and many hours later, Etched was born. Later added borders and decorations when the sample called for it.-----Works best at 64pt. Set leading to 48pt for a single dividing line in between, 52pt for a double dividing line, and 56pt for a clear break between lines. PUNKT™ features lowercase only, numbers, punctation, some additional characters AND professional kerning! HAUS is a RE-DESIGN and differs in some glyphs from PUNKT™. I completed the set with small caps and small digits and developed text numbers.
