They were made to be used as label art for beer bottles. The neighbors and I have home brewed up a wicked spicy chocolate beer to bring in the season. I'm not sure which is more difficult, home brewing or fontstructing, but they sure go well together. I added lowercase characters for more readable labels even though they scan as uppercase. *Notes: Use an underscore instead of a space (as space characters are always blank). Place an asterisk before and after your string for it to be recognised. No real damage besides a slightly bruised shoulder. But while kneeling on the ground and collecting my wits, I noticed the impression left by my tire treads in the mud and thought there might be a Fontruction idea in there. PUNKT™ features lowercase, numbers, punctation and some additional characters AND professional kerning! HAUS is a RE-DESIGN and differs in some glyphs from PUNKT™. I completed the set with small caps and small digits and developed text numbers. It uses minimal grid blocks to achieve the desired effect (although at ~2x2 and the slivers and the pinhole dots, there are a surprisingly large number of actual bricks used per glyph than evident at a quick glance, although not a single overlapping brick is used without express purpose). I think this is my favorite of all the ones I've done so far. It is with nervous anticipation that I let it free. Many Grecian wood type samples lack lower case characters or numerals (or both!)... hence my sampling of different sources. After several modifications, this FontStruction has become so big that I had to split it in two to make downloading possible!
