It's a solution to a fabricated problem. Getting the basic characters in, it is, evidently, not mono-spaced, even though all glyphs end at the same grid square on the right. One problem is the lack of control over the width of space. Other issues come up as well, such as the period (full stop) has to be way over there to the right of this font's grid to make it the same width as the rest of the characters.Conclusion? Mono-spaced fonts are just not possible in fontstruct at this point. :( Correct me if I am wrong. It works quite well at at least 500pt, with the kerning adjusted so the letters are really close together. I originally made this as a written code, hence the name. The lower case is a negative of the UPPER CASE to allow you to combine the full matrix – and as the letters are built out of multiple bricks in FontStruct, you'll need to use a few extra spaces to separate words – or insert '>' to make it exact – as I've offset the left margin to force a 1 unit letter space. They have no diagonals, just semi-circles and straight lines. This alphabet is the attempt to extend this construction principle to a complete (well: caps only) alphabet that you could easily cut from metal. And - like any principle that doesn’t come from writing – it doesn’t really work.
