It was called Constructivist and related to their Russian exhibit. It has hung from my ceiling since then and I have yet to tire of looking at it. This font is inspired directly off the mobile itself--all block-y and angular.—permanently unfinished, I'm sure.Many%20years%20ago%20I%20bought%20a%20mobile%20%28the%20hanging-from-the-ceiling%20kind%29%20at%20the%20Guggenheim%20Museum%20%28the%20original%20one%29.%20It%20was%20called%20Constructivist%20and%20related%20to%20their%20Russian%20exhibit.%20It%20has%20hung%20from%20my%20ceiling%20since%20then%20and%20I%20have%20yet%20to%20tire%20of%20looking%20at%20it.%20This%20font%20is%20inspired%20directly%20off%20the%20mobile%20itself--all%20block-y%20and%20angular.%3Cbr%3E%3Cbr%3E%26mdash%3Bpermanently%20unfinished%2C%20I%27m%20sure.

12 Downloads12%20Downloads123 Comments3%20Comments322 Glyphs22%20Glyphs22Font representing UPC (Universal Product Code) Barcode.

About UPC:
UPC has the following formatting:
ZnnnnnnYNNNNNNZ; where:

Z - start/end guard bar
Y - midlle guard bar
n - digit from the first 6 numbers the code
N - digit from the last 6 numbers of the code

How to use:
You'll have to convert your 12 digit code into 15 strings:

first you type the start guard bar: Z
first 6 numbers of your code, written as usual: 0 ... 9
the middle guard bar:Y
last 6 numbers of your code, using uppercase symbols: ), !, @, #, $, %, ^, &, *, (
the end guard bar: Z

Example:
Barcode: 256015 495837
Type in: Z256015Y$(%*#&Z

Please Note:

the horizontal lines above and below the vertical bars are there only to ensure proper spacing between bars. You might want to remove that, although it won't interfere with barscanners.
there should be no space between the characters, fontsruct generates them this way. You'll have to compensate.(corrected thanks to thalamic)

This FontStruction has become so big that I had to split it in two to make downloading possible! The Basic Set features all of the Basic Latin and More Latin (a.k.a. Latin-1) characters, while the Extended Set (this half) has all of the Extended Latin A and several Extended Latin B characters (Latin-based diacritics for the Central European, West European, Baltic, and Romanian languages, plus special characters for Croatian, Slovenian, and Livonian, among others).This%20is%20the%20second%20half%20of%20Prometheus%2C%20which%20is%20based%20on%20condensed%20Grecian%20typefaces%20by%20%3Ca%20href%3D%22http%3A%2F%2Ffamousamericans.net%2Fdariuswells%2F%22%3EDarius%20Wells%3C%2Fa%3E%20and%20%3Ca%20href%3D%22http%3A%2F%2Fwww.typography.com%2Fask%2FshowBlog.php%3FblogID%3D34%22%3EWilliam%20Hamilton%20Page%3C%2Fa%3E.%3Cbr%3E%3Cbr%3E%0D%0A%0D%0AThis%20FontStruction%20has%20become%20so%20big%20that%20I%20had%20to%20split%20it%20in%20two%20to%20make%20downloading%20possible%21%20The%20%3Ca%20href%3D%22http%3A%2F%2Ffontstruct.fontshop.com%2Ffontstructions%2Fshow%2F80235%22%3EBasic%20Set%3C%2Fa%3E%20features%20all%20of%20the%20Basic%20Latin%20and%20More%20Latin%20%28a.k.a.%20Latin-1%29%20characters%2C%20while%20the%20Extended%20Set%20%28this%20half%29%20has%20all%20of%20the%20Extended%20Latin%20A%20and%20several%20Extended%20Latin%20B%20characters%20%28Latin-based%20diacritics%20for%20the%20Central%20European%2C%20West%20European%2C%20Baltic%2C%20and%20Romanian%20languages%2C%20plus%20special%20characters%20for%20Croatian%2C%20Slovenian%2C%20and%20Livonian%2C%20among%20others%29.

52 Downloads52%20Downloads525 Comments5%20Comments598 Glyphs98%20Glyphs98This Fontstruction was produced after plugging in the Atari 2600 the other night and falling in love all over again with the minimalist simplicity of the game Breakout.

A little Jobs/Wozniak drama from the development story of the game Breakout:

"Breakout, a discrete logic (non-microprocessor) game, was conceptualized by Nolan Bushnell and Steve Bristow, after the latter had "rejoined" Atari after the merge of Atari subsidiary Kee Games.

"Al Alcorn was assigned as the project manager, and began development with Cyan Engineering in 1975. The same year, Alcorn assigned Steve Jobs to design a prototype. Jobs was offered USD$750, with an extra $100 each time a chip was eliminated from the prospected design. Jobs promised to complete a prototype within four days. Jobs noticed his friend Steve Wozniak—employee of Hewlett-Packard—was capable of producing designs with a small number of chips, and invited him to work on the hardware design with the prospect of splitting the $750 wage.

"The original deadline was met after Wozniak didn't sleep for four days straight. In the end 50 chips were removed from Jobs' original design. This equated to a $5000 USD bonus, which Jobs kept secret from Wozniak, instead only paying him $375."
