The language appears in writing in the Superman comics at first as random squiggles. Then during the 1970s E. Nelson Bridwell created an alphabet of 118 letters, Kryptonese, from the squiggles.	<item>

Purpose was to support the Loglan language with a simplified font able to be displayed on the 7-segment  LEDs of the time.	<item>
