Initially, I envisioned this font as an elegant serifed font, based on my handwriting (which is not to say it is itself elegant in any way). It has some Art-Nouveau influences, featuring contrasting bowl sizes, and sharp diagonal lines juxtaposed against flowing curves. When I began working on it in FontStruct however, I wasn't able to render its sinuous lines as I had first imagined. It evolved, becoming squared and angular, taking on a more Gothic feel; although, this suits its name. The title comes from "Ribbons of Baroque Ecstasy" is the name of a collection of works by English architect Neil Spiller, who advocates a return towards Gothicism, and away from bland Modernism and schizophrenic Post-Modernism.

Ruboku's 'Amstrad CPC Extended' was an awesome 8x8 font, but there were two or three minor flaws (strange-looking 'b', too-high 'z' etc.) I just decided it would be nice to give it a little tweak. Also, now it is 100% fixed-width, which makes it good for coding and ASCII-art as well. Don't bother giving me credit, just give credit to Ruboku. :)

A mono-height, 60s inspired font. I'm not 100% sure about some of the uppercase characters - mostly the later ones... so all comments are gratefully recieved. Oh, and more latin characters are on the way...

This is a very simple one..."Apollo" is dedicated to the English graphic designer, typographer and art director Neville Brody. A few days ago I read the book "The Graphic Language of Neville Brody" and while creating this font I realized that it looks a bit like a few typefaces he did back in the days.
