Join in the fun already! I thought I might as well make the entire alphabet in the same style without the flames. The lines came from the style of old school renderings of the Human Torch from the Fantastic Four in Marvel Comics.

Considering the upcoming holiday and the number of new Halloween-looking fonts being posted, here's a new call for a collaboration if anyone's up to it:
Halloween Dingbats!

I promised myself I wouldn't release a new completed Fontstruction until I finish the project I'm working on. So this is sort of a compromise. Not as fancy as the Bubble Lab, its just for fun. Anything Halloween related is fine, even if it is just coming up with different facial expressions for the Jack-O-Lantern or Skull. Whoever wants to add anything, just clone away and reserve your letter space(s) in the comments below. The only caveat- this fontstruction is created in the 2:2 upscaled brick size. If that turns out to be too challenging, I still plan to add more to this either way...

Other dingbat ideas: ghosts, witch, Frankenstein, Dracula, Haunted House, bats, spiders, Halloween Candy, scary Halloween phrases. BOOO!

Just a fun one I did last night while watching tennis and reading the latest DWR catalog (see page 72). This is a pattern Fontstruction based entirely on the Anni Albers textile pattern of the same name.

"Anni Albers began a three decades long collaboration with the internationally recognized design company Knoll in 1951. During the course of this partnership, Knoll released five of Anni's designs: Track, Rail, Lattice, Jhet and Eclat. Originally designed in 1974 as an upholstery pattern, Anni Albers' Eclat, was first produced printed on a cotton/ linen ground in various scales and color combinations. Reintroduction into the market as part of Knoll's 60th anniversary archival collection celebration in June 2007, Eclat, renamed Eclat Weave, is now produced as a woven, rather than printed, upholstery."

This is the idea: A true single-font font collaboration. How it will work:Each user will create any two characters (of his/her own choosing), ONLY two characters. Other users will request to be next in line to add to the font by posting a valid email address in the comments section of this font. The current owner of this account will decide who s/he wants to handover the account to and mail him/her the password of this account. The recipient will then change the password and become the new owner of this account and add two more glyphs to this font. The current owner also has the right to deny another user's request to take over the account. The new owner may also start a new font in this account but with the same rules as this font. Continuing this way, the font(s) will remain the same and will get done two characters at a time, each user bringing their own unique style to the font. Also, current owners of this account will NOT change any previously designed glyph, no matter how much they may want to.This is just an elaboration of FontStruct user kix' idea. Further clarification of rules also welcome. It could be a lot of fun. Come on, join in!a, t --thalamic

Considering the upcoming holiday and the number of new Halloween-looking fonts being posted, here's a new call for a collaboration if anyone's up to it: Halloween Dingbats!I promised myself I wouldn't release a new completed Fontstruction until I finish the project I'm working on.
