“Brutal Exchange of a Smug for Some Faith” by afrojet

A play on brickstacking, 'Brutal' is an experiment in creating a one brick fontstruction for multilayered screen printing. To use this font, you simply need to layer the uppercase alphabet on top of (or underneath) the lowercase alphabet (see below for a sample). Obviously, it doesn't look like much in the Fontstruct preview. The inspiration for this typeface came about when I was putting together this Flickr gallery of modular multi-colored lettering. The first 25 downloads are all mine. It was a hard one to test.

Use the Big Fat fonts with each other in different colours for awesome chromatic effects. Inspired by the award winning Optica by Manuel Guerrero, this is Big Fat Shaded's big sister. Same letter shapes but with a more vibratory, well, vibe. Great for drop caps. The two-tone effect still works - just set one layer in uppercase, one in lowercase. A blank vibrating square can be found at "-" and space, and the uppercase is at "_".

A beveled font that has a mid-20th-century vibe to it. Layer the upper and lower cases in different colours. Upper case is highlight, lower case is shadow. Numbers are shadow, their corresponding punctuation is highlight. Period and comma go with colon and semicolon. UPDATED 25 February 2009: Fixed spacing on X, Y, and 7 so lowercase and uppercase line up.
