I made this for my UWE graphic design first year project "communicating with words". I created this inspired by influences from Ralph steadman and Jackson pollock using the concept of inconsistansy and randomized mark making with ink. the name is derived from a quote from the book "fear and loathing in las vagas". I designed it by firstly creating the text with a pot of ink and the back side of a biro pen, then from that i drew them by hand onto A4 sheets of graph paper limitating each line to only 4 given angles, then finally transfering that onto fontstruct wich took roughly 30-40mins per letter. Still a work in progress, but this is a font for quick and dirty musical notation. z, a, q, and 1 are low 'a.' Each is a different duration (eigth, quarter, half, whole). Use shift on those to go up an octave. Space is for formatting; one space between notes usually works. Brackets are left/right staff ends, and vertical line | is the measure divider. The right side of the keyboard is used for flats and sharps. Plus and minus are time signatures (still working on those). Backslash is a repeat sign, and tilde is measure repeat. ` is a treble clef.

This one started out quite different; a simple three-line font. While making an alternate B, the curlicue was introduced. A clone and many hours later, Etched was born. Later added borders and decorations when the sample called for it.-----Works best at 64pt. Set leading to 48pt for a single dividing line in between, 52pt for a double dividing line, and 56pt for a clear break between lines.
