The idea for the font came from looking at the curves in Wind ornaments. The block like structure of the wood and then the spiral effect. I also looked at Wooden table arrangments that resembled wood shavings, like ribbon curls. I wanted a contiuous theme to run through and link all the glyphs together. So i used the ribbon like structure as the backbone to all the uppercase and then serifs to link the Glyffs to each other. There is also a suggestion of movement in the style, as it is italic. I kept the decorative theme as well, to stay true to the concept behind the idea. This is a display font with a limited and definate purpose.

I could have called this "Ribbon Triline"... But there are enough differences with Ribbon Inline to merit giving this FontStruction a new name. For example, it has a proper lower case, and the cap height is slightly beneath the ascender line, to increase legibility.

doubled with less offset gives this a sleek look. there were some brick outs that occurred when i overlapped the glyphs, but i decided to let them remain. this also reminds me of old typewriter ribbon, which uh i heard about... :)

This one began as a few doodles in my sketchbook. I've adapted them to FontStruct. It's an all-caps typeface, but A, K, V, W, X, and Z have alternate glyphs in the lowercase keys.

UPDATE: I've tried adding punctuation, but the double lines tend to make things tricky in this regard! Still working on it.
