As someone who began designing fonts in the days of pen and ink, I’ve gotta say that FontStruct is one of the coolest online tools to date. This makes up for not having flying cars yet!

@Em42. LOL. Everytime we add new bricks I think of you ;) You may be the only one but I have a lot of respect for your position. The eight new bricks do seem to be special. Several people have independently asked for these specific eight and sent in images and text explaining why they would help. You’re right, If you look at the bricks currently available, there are quite a few logical gaps – missing inversions and missing permutations like the two you mention. The new bricks create a lot more of these gaps. If enough people get in touch, we may add more, although I’d quite like to hold back until the brick palette is redesigned and things like brick stacking are officially implemented. We’ll see. One problem we have is, once bricks are there, there’s no going back!

Rob, even if I’m against new brick additions (the only one I suppose!), I think this new set is lacking two important bricks: the intersection of new bricks 5 & 6, and the intersection of new bricks 7 & 8.

(Maybe the above sentence is quite contradictory, but that’s it! :)
